Welcome to the one and only Bartimaeus Trilogy fan site! Yep, this is the only unofficial site related to the Bartimaeus Trilogy. Look around and enjoy the graphics(I've noticed that many fans have noticed a lack in decent Barty graphics), head over to the fun stuff to amuse yourself, and we even have news on the movie based on The Amulet of Samarkand! Check out Pentacle Forums, one of the only forums related to the Bartimaeus Trilogy! And thanks tons to my wonderful host, Nocturn Glare!

New Affiliate {September 7th, 2007}
I've added a new affiliate-Wyrda Forums! The Forums have a new layout, check it out! We have almost five hundred posts and constantly posting members!

Happy Fall! {September 2nd, 2007}
Well, it's the second day of fall and school starts soon. Have a great school year everyone, if that's possible.

Nothing Much... {August 28th 2007}
Quick update to tell everyone that I haven't forgotten about the site...I've been adding info, other than that, nothing much.
The forums need members!

Lots of Info Added {August 23rd, 2007}
I've added lots of info about magical beliefs and legends that might have been the basis for the Bartimaeus books. Some of the information I've come across certainly sounds very familiar! New graphics to be added soon.

Lots of News! {August 18th, 2007}
I'm back and updating! There are tons of news relating to Jonathan and Bartimaeus! The Bartimaeus Trilogy has won the Children's Book Award 2007 of the Jury of Young Readers, an award given by 11-13 year olds in Vienna for the best book for young people. Jonathan hopes to travel to Vienna later in the year to meet the jury and accept the prize personally. The link to the site is here. Also, Jonathan has contributed a new short story to Midnight Feast published by HarperCollins, which is an anthology of children's stories in aid of the charities War Child and No Strings. For more info on the anthology, click here. Another announcement that appeared rather late on Jonathan's site is the announcement of the birth of his son, Arthur, on 26th April 2007.
In terms of site related news, I have added some quotes and am now working on a HUGE update of the "other stuff" section, which will include lots of information on djinn, spirits, mythology, amulets and tons of other interesting stuff, as well as some avatars. The forums are steadily becoming more active, and we would love to see you join! Check them out at the link above!

Another Small Update {June 18th, 2007}
Just wanted to let everyone know that I"m leaving for a week, therefore won't update or reply to any e-mails/ submissions. I added some affiliates and did some publicity.

Small Updates {June 7th, 2007{
I added meta tags and am working on getting the site more publicity. The forum has some new members and is becoming more active. I won't be on for a couple weeks because of exams and then a France trip, but maybe I'll update once during that time.

A Few Updates {May 17th, 2007}
Once again, I'm really sorry for not updating, but I have the usual excuse: school has been stressful. I added a few quotes and more info on William Gladstone. I will start trying to update every week and will be looking for affiliates. If you're interested please e-mail me.

4th Bartimaeus Book!! {April 1st, 2007}
Jonathan Stroud has just confirmed that he will be writing another book about Bartimaeus. It will be a prequel set some time before the original trilogy. More information on his website.

In other news, I"m actually updating. Lots of things for you today: info on William Gladstone, small "dolls" for you to adopt, lots of lists such as "you know you're obsessed when", and of course, the forums! We're slowly but steadily gaining members and posts, so please join to make the forums a great community! I'm also adding lots of different affiliates.

p.s. APRIL FOOL!!

New Layout and Forums! {March 2nd, 2007}
As you can see, we have a new and better layout that allows for more space to put text and graphics! Also, this site now has forums! You can check them out here. I'll still have a link up to Bartiforums, but I've decided that this site should have its own forums.

Buried Fire a Success in Germany! {February 24th, 2007}
From Jonathan Stroud's official site:

Buried Fire (published as Drachenglut) has become a bestseller in Germany, following hot on the success of the Bartimaeus Trilogy there. It has reached # 2 in the Children's Book chart and # 16 in the Adult Book chart. A German-language recording of the book, made by actor Rufus Beck, will soon be issued, and a preview of this can be heard by visiting www.drachenglut-dasbuch.de.

Updates on the real William Gladstone, who was a British prime minister, are coming soon! And my New Year's resolution is to update once a week. Of course the new year was about two months ago. But that was the....um, well New Year most people celebrate. I'll just use the Chinese New Year to make my resolutions, that wasn't too long ago!

Lots of Updates! {February 5th, 2006}
Well, winter's finally upon us..in February. I had a snow day today, which I'm really thankful for, as it gave me a chance to do a lot of work on the site. I've put up a timeline of Bartimaeus's life, some info on afrits in mythology, tidbits of interesting info about the trilogy and basically worked on the Fun Stuff and Other Stuff sections. I'll soon have a section up on djinn in mythology, history, etc.. I'll also soon add some interviews.

Unfortunately, no news about the movie, Jonathan or any more books.

Back from New York.. {December 28th, 2006}
Went to New York for Christmas for a couple of days and just got back. It was great, big city and everything, but unfortunately no snow. If I don't end up in London or Paris or Prague, then I'll try for New York. Which reminds me, I have to work on that section about Prague..

In other news, I updated the Annoy Bartimaeus/Nathaniel page, and created an Annoy Kitty page. Check them out, they're pretty amusing!

Happy Holidays!! {December 24th, 2006}
To those of you who celebrate Christmas, Merry Christmas! Hope you get all the presents you wanted! And Happy Holidays to all the rest! Lots of updates today! I fixed the layout so that it works better, added lots of banners and blends to the graphics page, and added a dear Bartimaeus page. I'm working on getting more stuff up on that page and all the other pages in the fun section. Check it out and perhaps submit some content yourself! We had some competitions up too, which are quite fun to do, check those out!

Also, Bartiforums has over 500 members!

And if you're wondering what I'll be adding soon: I'll be working on a page about alchemy, Prague, and Golden Lane, including some of my own photos, more graphics, more ways to annoy Bartimaeus, Nathaniel and Jane Farrar, and some fanfics that people have promised to submit. Also, I might possibly be adding comments to the news.

Enjoy and Happy Holidays!! Oh, and about the snowflake up there next to happy holidays, I love snow, and I love winter, and I associate snow with holidays. Unfortunately, it's not snowing out here in Michigan, in fact it feels kind of like April, and CHristmas is tommorow. How depressing.
